Director's Corner - Kentucky Catholic Citizen Forum
I would also like to make you aware of an important event being sponsored by the Catholic Conference of Kentucky in Owensboro. The Kentucky Catholic Citizen Forum will be held on Saturday, January 24th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Parish Hall of St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church.
This is a wonderful opportunity for all members of the OCS Family to be informed on issues important to us as Catholics that may emerge in the 2009 Kentucky legislative session. Our state congressional senator and representatives have been invited to attend the day. Their presence and participation in this event will allow us to become advocates for those outlined issues.
Given the recent discussion concerning the transporting of our students in a safe and cost-effective manner, it will also allow us the chance to advocate for a transportation subsidy that actually meets the cost of transporting our students and all non-public school students across Kentucky.
Please use the attached response form to RSVP.
