Race For Education Information

A ‘Race for Education’ will be held on Friday, May 1 for of the Owensboro Catholic Schools sites. The event has allowed many of our families and friends to sponsor our students from many states across the country. The ‘Race for Education’ is raising funds to continue providing a quality education and affordable tuition.

Below are details about the event being held at each OCS site.

Owensboro Catholic High School – Students will walk the walking path at Moreland Park during 3rd block, a third of the school at a time.

Owensboro Catholic Middle School – Students will alternate between a picnic lunch and walking a section of the Greenbelt. They will then participate in various relay competitions between homerooms.

Owensboro Catholic Elementary 4-6 Campus – Event will be held at Jack C. Fischer Park. The students will arrive at the park about 10:30 am. They will rotate between the walking path, relay races (kickball sweep, balloon pop and dress off games), and kickball games. The day will conclude about 1:15 for the students to return to school.

Owensboro Catholic Elementary K-3 Campus – The students will begin in the gym with an ACES Pep Rally at 1:00 pm and several relay type races for each grade level. Then we will march out the front door of the Annunciation Center and begin a walk with the entire student body.
