Elementary Eye Screenings
A big special thank you goes out to the members of the Owensboro Association of Professional Optometrists for conducting Vision Screenings last week for students in Grades 1, 3, & 5.
Thanks, too, to all the parent volunteers who helped with this screening. Everyone s time contributed to this event was very worthwhile. A total of 261 students were screened and 21% were identified as failing the screening.
Each student who participated in this free screening was given a letter to take home with the results of the student s screening. The results were listed as either passed or failed. If your child s letter indicated that he/she failed this screening, you should contact your eye care professional for a complete eye examination.
