OCS Student Wins 1st Place in Art Contest
Bill Monroe’s 100th birthday is celebrated this year at his birth place in Rosine, Kentucky and in Owensboro, the Blue Grass capital of the world. The Owensboro Blue Grass Museum sponsored an Art Contest in area schools.
Each school was assigned a song which the students were to illustrate. OCES 4-6 Campus’ song was “I’m Going Back to Old Kentucky.” First Place winner, Hadley Shaver’s artwork was judged the best artistically appealing and the best illustration of the song.
Hadley is a fifth grade student and the daughter of William and Stephanie Shaver. Congratulation, Hadley!
