Driving Safety is Important

The leading cause of death in teens is from auto accidents. Many of these wrecks are thought to have been survivable if only seatbelts were used by the vehicle occupants. However, defensive, safe driving should always be practiced regardless of the driver's age.

Listed below are the leading causes of auto accidents in order - and all of them are under the driver's control:
* Speeding

* Unsafe or too-frequent lane changing

* Not using turn signals

* Tailgating

* Not yielding the right of way

* Ignoring traffic signals

* Driving while impaired by alcohol or chemicals
Remember to buckle-up EVERY time and drive safely. Donot get in a vehicle of an unsafe driver. Parents, continuously remind your teen driver of this. Nagging them about this may save his or her life.
