Elementary 4-6 Campus - Lent Project - Raining Respect

During the Lenten Season we are encouraged to give up something or to do something extra. Often these things we give up or do lead to a positive change in behavior or attitude.
This year for Lent, we would like to encourage a greater attitude of respect in our school. The final goal is to make respecting others a habit, a Christ-like habit which brings us closer to God. We encourage parents to expect this form of behavior at home as well; this will help form the respect habit much faster.

Faculty and staff will be watching and listening for respectful behavior from our students. Each time this behavior is observed or heard, the student will be verbally acknowledged and his/her class will earn a “raindrop.” The grade level with the most “raindrops” at the end of each week will receive an out of uniform day on the following Monday.
During the week of March 12, each grade level will be given the opportunity to earn more “raindrops” and at the same time give to the needy of our community. We will collect canned goods for the Help Office this week. Each student that brings in a canned food item will receive a “raindrop”. The students will still be earning “raindrops” for respectful behavior this week as well.
