Sturgeon is hitting .367 so far this season, with 11 hits, three doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 runs scored, three stolen bases, and six runs batted in with a .525 on-base percentage and a .633 slugging percentage. On the mound, Sturgeon has a 1.42 earned run average and opponents are hitting just .121 against him with 32 strike outs in 19 innings pitched. Last week, Sturgeon struck out 13 in a district game against Owensboro.
