The Fall sports program at Owensboro Catholic will be getting underway soon.
Students must have their athletic physical turned in before trying out and/or practicing with any sport. Students are reminded that there is to be no contact between athletes and parents with coaches during the KHSAA Dead Period. The KHSAA Dead Period is June 25 through July 9.
Boys Soccer – Soccer practice will start July 11 at Thompson Berry Park. Any boy in high school/middle school that is interested in playing soccer should contact Coach Ryan Lossie (270) 313-9538 after July 9th .
Girls Soccer – Season begins July 11th from 7:30-9:30 am. at Thompson Berry Park for any incoming students in 7th grade, 8th grade, or high school. You must have a school physical before starting practice. For more information, e-mail coach Durand Engineer at durand.engineer@owensborocatholic.org .
Volleyball - The Volleyball team will have try outs on July 15th; Freshman and JV from 3-5 pm and Varsity from 5-7 pm. For more information call Coach Brian Hardison at 302-2524 after July 9.
Boys Cross Country - Regular season Cross Country practice begins Wednesday, July 18th at 6:30 am. Any boy from OCHS and/or OCMS interested in running cross country should call Coach Scott Lowe at 688-0035 for further information after July 9.
Girls Cross Country - Any girl from OCHS and /or OCMS interested in running Cross Country should call Coach Jim Ivey at 570-8412 or Coach Lowe at 688-0035 after July 9.
Girls Golf - Tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity girls’ golf team will tentatively begin July 16. For more information call Sarah Malone after July 9 at 314-5810.
Boys Golf - Tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity boys’ golf team will be July 18 and anyone interested will need to contact Coach Corley for time and location at 691-9229. An updated physical is needed in order to tryout.
