Roe v Wade Commemoration

Daviess County Courthouse Lawn
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
12:00 Noon

On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court legalized abortion for ANY reason. Thursday, January 22nd, marks the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Because of this decision, a baby dies every 24 SECONDS from abortion and 48 MILLION babies have been aborted since 1973. We have learned many facts since this date. For instance, 18 days after conception the heart begins beating. Five weeks after conception the brain becomes active and pain receptors appear. Ultrasounds have proven that at 10 weeks a fully formed baby is present in the mother's womb.

We have also learned that abortion hurts women. Not only do women who have had abortions suffer many physical complications such as hemorrhaging and future miscarriages, they suffer many emotional complications as well.

Please join Right to Life of Owensboro at the Courthouse to commemorate the day the Supreme Court made this decision. Father Richard Meredith of St. Pius X and Pastor Wes Roberts of Bellevue Baptist Church will lead us in prayer. Our service begins at 12:00 Noon and will last only a few minutes. Please show your support for the women, remember the babies that have been aborted, and pray for future births by attending.
