Parent Portal Now Available for Parents

In a recent Director’s Corner, Mr. Rasp informed the Owensboro Catholic Schools community of the purchase of InformationNow (INow) from Software Technology, Inc. (STI). As a web based student information system, INow will allow us as a school system to more efficiently manage such aspects as attendance, grades, enrollment, discipline, scheduling, billing, and tuition. In essence it will help us effectively handle all school operations concerning students.

Most importantly, it happens in an integrated environment where information is available real time to all users. One of the areas of INow that we are very excited to offer is an INow “Parent Portal” where parents can keep up-to-date via the internet with all graded aspects of their student’s education, as well as attendance and discipline.

OCS is pleased to inform you that you may now access the information concerning your OCS student(s) through our “Parent Portal”. Through this, you will currently be able to access the report cards as well as an up-to-date progress report for all of your students except those in kindergarten. You will be receiving either an email or a letter via the US Postal Service concerning your access to the “Parent Portal”.

This is being opened for over 1,500 parents simultaneously so please be patient. Those receiving their username and password via email should receive it on Friday, November 20th, 2009.

If we must send yours via US PS, those letters will be sent from OCS on Monday, November 23rd, 2009. If you have not received your access letter by Monday, November 30th, 2009, please send an email to parentportal@owensborocatholic.org.

Thanks and God Bless,
